Finished!
I finished my Olympic knitting project tonight. Yea! I will post pictures tomorrow, because I am too tired to mess with the camera tonight. More later.

Ack!
It has not been a good 24 hours knitting wise. I have had to rip and tink a whole bunch on my Olympic knitting. The front right band is NOT cooperating, but I will beat it into submission. I think I have the problem fixed now, but it has been frustrating. I was hoping to be done today or tomorrow, but I don't think that will happen now. Hopefully it will be done by closing ceremonies on Sunday.

Another Olympic update
Still working on sleeve number 2. I have about 4 inches to go, then I get knit around the neck. After that I get to sew, sew, sew. I hate sewing knitted pieces together. I much prefer knitting in the round with no seams. Ah well, I need to do this.

Olympic update 2
I finished the right sleeve/upper portion of my sweater and started on the left sleeve. It's going OK, but Silk Garden is still strange yarn. I keep having to pick out pieces of grass, twigs and stickers. Strange stuff.

Olympic Update 1
As promised here is a picture of my Olympic knitting. From top to bottom, the lower back, the two lower fronts and part of the right sleeve. The picture really does not do the colors justice. Noro Silk Garden is strange stuff.

Knitting Olympics
I started my Olympic project on Friday. I have the lower back done and have started on the lower front panels. Silk Garden is such a strange yarn. I'm still not sure that I like the yarn I'm using. It feels OK, but the colors are weird, and you never know how they are going to work out when you are knitting them. I will keep on, but it is strange. I will post some pictures later on.

Olympics
The Winter Olympics start on Friday. I love to watch figure skating. And in keeping with the Olympic spirit, I have entered the Knitting Olympics started by the Yarn Harlot. It should be fun. I am going to try to knit the Bettna sweater in the Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton Noro Revisited book. It's the one on the cover. I'm not using that colorway though. The Silk Garden I'm using is more gray, blue, violet and turquiose. I hope it turns out the way my mind is envisioning it. Wish me luck.

Jeans Socks
This the pair of socks I'm knitting for Sarah. I've actually got about 7 inches knitted on the cuff now.
