We had buckets and buckets of rain last week. Thursday was really wet. Friday we were supposed to have the soil testing done on the lot for the house. This is what we found. Lots of water in the middle of the lot. There is an old logging road that cuts through the middle of the lot (just about where we want to put the house), and it does not drain well. Something we will have to deal with. Needless to say, the soil testing did not happen. We're hoping things will dry out enough this week so the testing can get done.

How Deep Was It?

I think realtors call that waterfront property. Ha! I hope that it dries out soon for you. Good thing you found that out BEFORE building.
All I can think of when I see this photo is . . . SNAKES!!
What are the options for the drainage . . . or lack thereof? I guess it's good to know ahead of time.
